CONSTRUCTION SITE INJURIES
An owner and manager of the building / premises may be liable for a condition on its property that causes injury to the people lawfully present on the premises such as:

Cranes’ fall-downs;

Window glass or bricks dropped on pedestrians; or
-
Exposed-to-public electrical wires.
General Contractor (“GC”) as employer of an independent contractor is liable for a construction worker’s injuries because GC:

Retains control over some part of an independent contractor's work

Has a non-delegable duty to provide the contractor's employees with a safe place to work and
-
Assure that the work is performed in a safe manner.
A contractor owes a duty of ordinary care in performing his work so not to negligently injure the workers of another contractor.
​Architects and Engineers may be liable for injuries to the building visitors even after their work was completed and accepted by the owner, e.g. when a pylon spontaneously falls on a visitor.
